Celebrate Hatboro's 20th Annual Moonlight Memories Car Show
The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 20th annual Moonlight Memories Car Show, also known as Hatboro's Classic Car Show. It will be held from 5PM to 10PM, rain or shine, on Saturday, July 28, 2012, in downtown Hatboro. The free, family-friendly event will showcase approximately 500 specialty cars and trucks that will motor into Hatboro, and line both sides of York Road at the south end of the borough, from Byberry Avenue to Summit Avenue at the north end.
Car and truck entries will be accepted through Friday, July 27. Registered participants are grouped by class, reviewed by a panel of auto-savvy judges, and then awarded 30 top prizes, as well as additional specialty awards.
The Moonlight Memories Car Show co-chairmen are Greater Hatboro Chamber President Joseph J. Tryon and Chamber Vice President Joseph R. Baskwill.
"Each year this unique borough event gives us the opportunity to shine a spotlight on Hatboro, supporting local businesses and organizations, while giving our visitors a wonderful outing and trip down memory lane. In addition to the classic cars and trucks on display, we invite everyone to visit the shops, antique stores and restaurants that comprise this historic and dynamic community," says Joe Tryon.
Historically, the car show draws between 75,000 to 100,000 car and truck buffs, as well as visitors of all ages. There will be live music, and Hatboro restaurants and food purveyors will offer a cool variety of summer refreshments. Delaware Valley's WRDV public radio station will host a live broadcast of nostalgic tunes from the era.
In addition to the Greater Hatboro Chamber, sponsors include: Hatboro Federal Savings, O'Neil GMC, The First National Bank and Trust Company of Newtown, Warminster's Automotive Training Center, Rems Automotive, Inc., Heilman Auto, Gallagher Bros., Inc., Impact Thrift Store, Hopkins Ford, Baskwill Funeral Home, Speed Raceway of Horsham, and KP Kitchen Crafts.
