The acclaimed Centennial Singers have been singing choral music in the Bux-Mont area for 37 years.
Forty-five voices strong, they are always seeking new members in every voice range, and the best part is that they will not even ask you to audition. Put your nerves aside. If you show up, you’re in!
Tenors and basses are especially needed.
Under the capable direction of Carmen Amato, and accompanied by piano virtuoso Charles Demets, the chorus performs two concerts a year (the next on Dec. 17). The chorus also visits several retirement and assisted-living facilities as part of its outreach service.
Membership ranges in age from 18 to 80 plus. Bring your spouse, your siblings, your parents, your children, your friends.
Or, come by yourself and make new friends.
All are welcome. Accompanied by a parent, home-schooled high school students may be able to fulfill their music requirement by singing with the group.
The chorus rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:45 p.m. at McDonald Elementary School on Reeves Lane, just off Street Road in Warminster, and west of Davisville Road.
Fall rehersals begin Sept. 20, and it's understandable if you cannot attend every rehearsal.
Give your lungs some phenomenal exercise and join in the fun. It is a known fact that choral singing lifts the spirits.
To pay for our conductor, accompanist, and auditorium rental, the group charges members a nominal fee.
Experience the joy of choral music first hand!
