Board of Commissioners Meet to Adopt 2013 Budget

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. tonight in the Upper Moreland Township Building.

 

The following is the agenda for the Board of Commissioners' meeting tonight starting at 7 p.m. In addition to its regular monthly meeting, the 2013 township budget will be discussed.

  • Treasurer’s Activity      Report, Joseph J. Olszak, Treasurer
  • Approval of Minutes – November 13, 2012, Regular Meeting

 Finance & Administrative Committee

  • Reappointment of Ed Sheehan, Jr., At-Large, PRAC, for a 2-year term to expire on November 14, 2014
  • List of Bills Payable
  • Supplemental Appropriation of $16,000 for improvements to the Emergency Operations Center in the
         Township Building
  • Resolution R-2012-39 – Setting a date  for Special Meeting and Public Hearing for December 10, 2012 at 7:00pm to consider an ordinance approving collection of delinquent real estate taxes by Montgomery County

 Community Development Committee

  • List of Upcoming Zoning Board Applications
  • Resolution No. R-2012-40 – To set a date of a Public Hearing to consider a Conditional Use Application for 168 Park Avenue. Proposed date of hearing is January 7, 2013 at 7:00pm
  • Resolution No. R-2012-41 – To set a date of a Public Hearing to consider an Ordinance to create a local Code Enforcement Appeals Board.  Proposed date of hearing is January 7, 2013 at 7:15 p.m.

Parks & Recreation Committee

  • Use of advertising in Township Newsletter pending review of guidelines by Township Solicitor and Board of Commissioners {continue on agenda for December 17, 2012 Parks & Recreation for “Review of policy
    regarding permitted advertising in Township Newsletter”}
  • Request from UMHA and Friends of Boileau Farmstead to rename trail “Edward Momorella Memorial Trail”
  • Use of $2,500 to install safety fencing as a barrier between the railroad tracks and playground equipment in Memorial Park {SEPTA has agreed to do necessary surveywork}{funded by SEPTA permit fee escrow
    account}
  • Auction of 1989 Township Parks & Recreation Bus

Public Health & Safety Committee

  • Agreement between the Police Departments of Upper Moreland, Upper Dublin and Abington Township to coordinate responses as requested regarding investigation of vehicular accidents
