1. Lenten Luncheon Lectures

Where/When: Lehman’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 S. York Road, Hatboro; March 24, noon to 1 p.m.

Why go: If you’re a parent, grandparent or have experienced bullying in your life, attend this lunch and lecture: “Stories of Religious Bullies: The Woman Who Washes the Feet of Jesus.” Lunch includes soup, sandwiches and dessert.

Pricing: $4

 

2. Fresh Ground Coffee House

Where/When: Willow Grove Bible Church, 212 Everett Ave., Willow Grove; March 25, 8 p.m. to midnight

Why go: Enjoy a night of jazz, coffee, goodies and art, featuring music by Clear Approach Jazz Quartet, and a photography exhibit by Elkins Park photographer Joel Berenbaum. Be in the audience for a live recording session March 25!

Pricing: Free

 

3. Writers Coffeeehouse

Where/When: Barnes & Noble, 102 Park Ave., Willow Grove; March 27, noon to 3 p.m.

Why go: Sponsored by the Philly Liars’ Club, the Writers Coffeehouse meets to swap experiences and share information about the writing life. All levels of writers are welcome.

Pricing: Free

 

4. Driver Safety Course

Where/When: Upper Moreland Library, 109 Park Ave., Willow Grove; March 29 and 31, 1 to 5 p.m.

Why go: Keep the roads safe, and get a little discount on your auto insurance by completing the AARP Driver Safety Program for drivers 50 and older who want to improve their skills and prevent accidents. In-person registration is required at the library.

Pricing: $12 for AARP members, $14 for nonmembers

 

5. Adult Book Discussion Group

Where/When: Upper Moreland Library, 109 Park Ave., Willow Grove; March 30, 7 to 8:15 p.m.

Why go: This month’s selection is “Little Bee,” by Chris Cleave, a haunting novel about the tenuous friendship blooming between two disparate strangers: a Nigerian refugee and a recent widow from suburban London.

Pricing: Free
