NASA: World Won't End Tomorrow

Some say the ancient Mayans predicted the world will end Dec. 21; others say you should plan on going to work Friday anyway.

It may be inevitable that one of the many doomsday predictions found in cults or New Age mythologies may actually come true, but it's probably not Friday.

Some believe that when the 5,125-year ancient Mayan calendar runs out on Dec. 21, it determines the end of the world. NASA scientists disagree.

According to the NASA website, the only thing that will happen on Dec. 21 is the winter solstice.

The website also compared the lack of dates on the Mayan calendar to the lack of dates on current calendars.

"Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then -- just as your calendar begins again on January 1 -- another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar."

Of course, those screaming doomsday are getting far more attention.

The official Dec. 21, 2012 website even claims to have celebrity supporters such as Woody Harrelson, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher and Shirley MacLaine.

The Dec. 21, 2012 website also alleges a galactic problem that will cause the world to end -- something the scientists at NASA refute..

It is a count down, not a calander, and NASA knows this. The Mayans equated the next time this solarsystem would cross the solar equator. Why would the Mayans make a countdown to nothing then. If nothing is supposed to happen, then why has the govermnent been building these huge bunkers costing trillions then, and NASA is the govermnent, so why are then any credible for any infotmation told.

The government built those bunkers years ago to serve as elaborate film studios in order to create the supposed "lunar landing". HAHAHA!

Mathew 24:36 and Mark 13:32 that the ONLY one who knows when the world will end is God. Let's quit trying to do His job for him, and start living according to His principals again.

Tbh,I don't think the world will end, cause there would already be sighns that its ending.
Also like every year they say it will end, like last year 21st may 2011 funny how this year is 21st too? When they don't get it right they move it on. The earth will end when least expected not predicted. No one knows when it will end and also just because a myan calender ends on the 21st december doesn't mean it will end,oh well we will see:)

The world will end when its good and ready to end. This 2012 thing was a mass marketing ploy to make money. The world will still be here after tomorrow and next week and next year and the next 20 years. Relax. Sure, we will have disasters and such but the world will go on as it always has. There are going to be some real disappointed people on Saturday! This is like that Y2K crap...only worse.

THE MAYANS DID NOT "PREDICT" THE END OF THE WORLD!!! GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEADS ALREADY. IT'S JUST THE END OF ANOTHER CALENDAR CYCLE.
