Oh, the 'Places' You'll Go (on Patch)

Patch now has a revamped directory listing called 'Places.'

Patch readers have come to know the detailed descriptions of businesses, nonprofit organizations and community resources through its extensive directory listings.

Now, the directory has been given a new name, and with it, some new features.

Places, which can be found at the top of the homepage tabs, not only includes the familiar descriptions, photos and locations of listings, but also features:

  • "Write a Review" - By clicking on a listing, users can share their experiences for other users to see. Once a listing is clicked on, the user will be taken to the listing's full description page. At the bottom of the page, an empty box is set for you to type and submit your review.

  • "Find a Listing" - At the very top of the Places page, there is an option to find a particular listing or what kind of listing you're looking for. There is even a "search by category" drop-down box.

  • "Claim Your Listing" - If you're the business owner or manager of a listing on our Places section, claim it! By claiming the listing, you may add more photos, edit information and update as much as you'd like.

We hope that the new Places section is both convenient and helpful. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email gerrydungan@patch.com.
