After briefly detaining two subjects that fit the description of the alleged Sunoco victim this afternoon, police found that the reports were false.
[Updated 7:35 p.m.]
According to Upper Moreland Police, the victim who reported to police on being robbed by suspects at a Sunoco gas station, at Warminster and County Line roads, earlier this afternoon, turned out to be a false report.
The alleged victim told police that he had been beaten and robbed by two Hispanic males. According to police, the K9 units and patrol officers from multiple jurisdictions assisted in the search for the suspects, resulting in the brief detaining of two subjects, per the alleged victim's descriptions.
"The victim lied about the entire incident and has been arrested for making a false report to the police and ethnic intimidation for blaming two Hispanic males for a fabricated crime," Upper Moreland Police chief Thomas Nestel said in a Nixle report. "Thank you for your help and my apologies for alarming you."
According to police, the alleged victim is now in police custody.

So, you can be charged with ethnic intimidation JUST for NAMING an ETHNICITY in a report?
That BS charge won't stick.
The police ASK you to describe the perps.
Any word on WHY this dope would do this?

Hi Pumpikin - thanks for your comments - After confirming with Upper Moreland Police, there was no robbery of any kind that took place. UMPD explained, aside from the false reports charge, the 'ethnic intimidation' charge was made due to the reporting party's fabricated description that led police to detain two Hispanic men. UMPD could not comment further as to why the false witness fabricated the story.

When you waste tax payers money and time. The police will make anything stick. Like a good ole salesman I knew used to say. "If the crap sticks on the wall, go with it."
So I hope this person that made this false report pays the time for wasting my Tax payer money.
