Upper Moreland Prepares for Hurricane Sandy
The Upper Moreland Public Works Department was out today preparing for what's possibly ahead this weekend.

Just over a year after Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee ravaged Montgomery County and the surrounding areas with flooding and property damage, emergency management personnel are keeping a watchful eye just in case Hurricane Sandy wreaks havoc.
Upper Moreland Public Works Director John Primus told Patch that crews were out this morning and afternoon placing baracades at the usual flooding spots like York Rd., Terwood Rd., Davisville Rd., and Mason Mill Rd.
"We have spots where we usually see flooding so we were out earlier today putting baracades there," Primus said.
The Public Works Department also spent time this morning clearing branches and other debree out from the inlets throughout the township. Other employees are getting emergency equipment ready like chainsaws, sign boards, and cones.
