Upper Moreland Marching Unit Places Second at Cavalcade Grand Championships

The Upper Moreland Marching Unit traveled to Hershey Park on Sunday November 11th for the Cavalcade of Bands 2012 Grand Championships.  They performed their show called Kaleidoscope to  packed stadium competing in the Yankee Conference which is bands that are 80 members and up and they are in the Open class .  They competed against 9 other bands from all parts of Pennsylvania. They put on an amazing show and received a score of 95.355 and High Music.  As always the Band Director Glenn Cowen and all of his staff and all band parent families are extremely proud of them.  Please take to opportunity to come see this great Marching Band at the Hatboro Holiday Parade and the annual Thanksgiving game against Hatboro HS .

Hatboro who competes in the Liberty Conference placed 1st in their division with a score of 95.25

So with the price of your Thanksgiving football game ticket you will also see these  two championsip level bands perform their last performances of the year.

Karen, I am the publicity chair for the Upper Moreland Music Patrons , not a Patch reporter. I actually did mention Hatboro Horsham's first place in my article and invited all to see them and Upper Moreland at the Thanksgiving Day game.

Great job UM. Well worth the trip to see such a fine band. Look forward to Thanksgiving when 2 great bands will be heard only to be interupted by a football game.
