DESCRIPTION:Montgomery County residents may attend an electronics recycli
 ng collection event on June 30\, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.\, at Wissahickon 
 High School.\nAbout Electronic Recycling Collection Events Electronics w
 ill also be accepted at eight separate collection events.  Please note t
 hat the county will accept a wider array of electronics  than in the pas
 t which include the following: TV&rsquo\;s (All sizes and  shapes)\, CPU
 &rsquo\;s\, monitors\, laptops\, printers\, scanners\, fax machines\,  k
 eyboards\, mice\, speakers\, copiers\, VCR/DVD players\, portable music 
  players\, digital converter boxes\, cable/satellite receivers\, CD play
 ers\,  telephones and telephone equipment\, cell phones\, video game con
 soles\,  digital cameras\, PDA&rsquo\;s/calculators\, stereo and radio e
 quipment\, electric typewriters\, microwaves\, toasters\, irons\, blende
 rs\, mixers\, coffeemakers\, vacuums and other small household appliance
 s.  The following items will not be accepted at Electronics Recycling Co
 llection Events: household  hazardous waste\, explosives\, ordinance mat
 erial\, infectious biologically active wastes\, asbestos\, radioactive m
 aterial\, alkaline batteries\, household appliances/whitegoods\, air con
 ditioners\, dehumidifiers\, refrigerators\, smoke detectors\, tires and 
 latex (water based) paint.  Both the household hazardous waste and elect
 ronics program is limited  to private residents\,and all commercial inst
 itutions should refer to  EPA&rsquo\;s RCRA Universal Waste  laws with r
 egard to proper disposal. Through these laws it is illegal  for a commer
 cial\, institutional\, or governmental entity to  dispose of these elect
 ronics\, fluorescent bulbs\, mercury\, toxic  chemicals\, etc. in the re
 gular municipal waste stream.  There is no limit restrictions for electr
 onics brought to events.  All collection sites will be open from 9 a.m.
