Democrats "go to the dogs" to donate

The Upper Moreland Democratic Committee has raised $800.00 to enable the Upper Moreland Police Department to purchase a protective vest for the Township’s Police K-9 squad. The committee is planning to present a check to the Township at the beginning of the Board of Commissioner’s Monthly Meeting Monday September 9th 7 pm. The meeting will be held at Township Building, 117 Park Avenue Willow Grove, PA 19090.
The local Democrats have been raising money for by holding special raffles for local charitable causes at their political fundraisers. Committee Person Ruthann Dobnak had contacted the Upper Moreland Police Department to learn how the Democrats could fund the department’s needs for equipment not in the Township’s budget. Previously, the Democrat’s had donated to a local family whose father, a returning veteran, had died in a tragic home fire.
