PHILADELPHIA- Philadelphia Partner Pamela Harris-Williams, of the law firm Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP, was a guest speaker at Abington Junior High School recently to discuss the legal profession with girls in the group, I.M.A.G.I.N.E.  It stands for I’m A Girl, Intelligent, Noble, and Educated, which focuses on topics such as self-image, self-confidence, resisting peer pressure, and academic excellence, with an emphasis on addressing social issues that interfere with performance. Harris-Williams lives in the Abington area and always places importance to giving back to the community.

I.M.A.G.I.N.E. provides African-American girls with a forum to self-advocate, improve self-image, and enrich their lives. The members participate in discussion groups, attend events, and have opportunities to be exposed to positive role models and to become ones as well. The program began in 2007 and has since expanded to the high school and the elementary schools, where I.M.A.G.I.N.E. leaders run workshops for 4th, 5th and 6th graders.
