Aqua to Replace Water Main on Davisville and Terwood Roads

As part of a continuing infrastructure improvement program, Aqua Pennsylvania will replace the water main on the following streets in Upper Moreland:

• Davisville Road between Terwood Road and south of Ball Road.
• Terwood Road between Davisville Road and Bear Blvd.

The new main will increase service reliability and improve firefighting capabilities in the area. Aqua will have an inspector on the job each day to answer any questions from residents.

The $791,500 project is scheduled to begin June 13 and will involve the installation of 3,400 feet of 12-inch ductile iron main. The new main will replace the existing 6-inch and 8-inch cast iron main.

The main installation, service transfers, street tie-ins and final paving restoration is expected to be completed in September.

The work hours will be 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, and some Saturdays may be necessary to keep the project on schedule.

Access will be provided for emergency, mail and trash service. 

Residents will have access to their properties. Commuters are asked to avoid traveling through the construction zone whenever possible.

Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted in the area of construction.

A 24-hour-advanced notification will be posted by Aqua in the event of a scheduled shutdown. 

If an emergency shutdown should occur, service will be restored as soon as possible.
