Why go: The Village Players will perform Wait Until Dark, a nail-biting thriller by Frederick Knott. Suzy Hendrix, a blind housewife, is terrorized by a trio of criminals looking for a missing doll full of heroin. Wait Until Dark is a story sure to have you on the edge of your seat, right up to its terrifying conclusion.

Pricing: $12 regular, $10 Sunday matinee

Where/When: Penn State Abington, 1600 Woodland Road, Jenkintown; March 11, noon to 2 p.m.

Why go: Hosted by Eastern Montco Chamber of Commerce, learn about social media—like Facebook and Twitter—and how to incorporate it in your business. The program also includes networking and lunch.

Pricing: $25 members, $35 nonmembers

Where/When: Village Players of Hatboro, 410 Jefferson Ave., Hatboro; March 13 and 15, 7 to 9 p.m.

Why go: The Village Players will hold open auditions for I Hate Hamlet, a comedy by Paul Rudnick. Auditions are open to anyone, and no experience is necessary. First-timers are encouraged to try out.

Where/When: Holiday Inn, 432 Pennsylvania Ave., Fort Washington; March 15, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Why go: Fort Washington Business Alliance and Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce will host a St. Patrick’s Day Party and Business Card Exchange. Come for networking, refreshments and door prizes.

Pricing: Free for members, $25 for prospective members

 

5.

Where/When: Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell; March 15, 22 and 29, 7 to 9 p.m.

Why go: Discover Vietnamese, designed for adult learners who want to explore the intricacies of a new culture, is part of the MCCC Lifelong Learning Program’s “International Series.” The course covers geography, history, politics, the arts and foods, and it is ideal for travelers, business people, and those interested in international adoptions.

Pricing: $60
