Why go: Settlement Music School will hosts the dedication ceremony for the new Willow Grove branch. Elected officials, community and business leaders will be on hand, as well as faculty, staff and board members from the school.

Where/When: Willow Grove VFW Post 3612, 305 W. Moreland Road, Willow Grove; March 18, 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Where/When: Lehman’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 S. York Road, Hatboro; March 19, 4 to 7:30 p.m.

Why go: The church will hold its annual ham dinner, sponsored by the Sanctuary Choir. The dinner is all-you-can-eat, served family style. To reserve your spot in advance, call the church office at 215-675-2110.

Pricing: Adults, $10 in advance, $11 at the door; children 6 to 12, $5; children 5 and under, free

Why go: The bowling event will raise funds for Penn State Abington Athletics. Student athletes bowl free.

Pricing: $25 alumni and guests of athletes, $20 students, includes bowling, shoe rental and food

Where/When: Upper Moreland Library, 109 Park Ave., Willow Grove; March 20, 2 p.m.

Why go: The film featured is The Last Station. In honor of his newly created religion, Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy renounces his title, property and family in favor of poverty and celibacy. For the Countess Sofya, his wife of nearly 50 years, this is the last straw! After she discovers his plans to leave the rights to his iconic novels to the Russian people, rather than his own family, she decides to use every trick of seduction in her considerable arsenal, to fight for what she believes is rightfully hers.
