Why go: A Master Gardener will teach you all about growing full gardens in small spaces. Everyone is welcome. Park behind Hatboro Federal Savings Bank, and use the Rorer Avenue entrance to the church.

Where/When: Upper Moreland High School, 3000 Terwood Road, Willow Grove; May 13, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Upper Moreland Primary and Intermediate schools’ faculty and staff will compete head-to-head in a basketball game, to raise funds for UM Unicorn.

Pricing: $1

Where/When: Congregation Beth Or, 239 E. Welsh Road, Maple Glen; May 13, 9:15 p.m.

Why go: Beth Or’s Olitsky Gallery will host an opening reception with artist Barbara Rosenzweig, whose show, featuring more than 40 original paintings, will be on exhibit through June 8 in the gallery.

Where/When: Begins at Pavilion Shopping Center, 535 S. Broad St., Lansdale; May 14, 8:45 a.m.

Why go: Inspired by young Alex Rowe, who suffers from severe von Willebrand disease, the Broad Street five-mile Rerun, one-mile family walk and half-mile Kids Run will raise funds to support the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation.

Pricing: $30 adults, $15 children

Where/When: St. John Bosco’s, 235 E. County Line Road, Hatboro; May 15, 1 to 4 p.m.
Why go: The Women’s Guild will host an afternoon of food and fashions by Christopher Banks and JC Penney.
