Why go: Come in your jammies, and don’t forget a stuffed animal! Enjoy low-key stories in a soothing environment.

Where/When: Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell; Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.

Why go: As part of the college’s ongoing Lively Arts Series, MCCC will host the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra, a special ensemble of the acclaimed Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.

Why go: Enjoy spaghetti and meatballs or sausage, Caesar salad, a roll and drink. Entertainment will be provided by Jim Monahan on guitar and a balloon specialist. Proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Why go: Doggone Good Readers volunteer Jean Campellone will read stories alongside her gentle yellow lab, Niji, a certified therapy dog. The event is for children 3 and up.
