Grab and Go is the fun activities planner for families on the go.

Spring has sprung! With the official first day of spring this Sunday, March 20, we’ll start to see lots of fun family events in the great outdoors!

To celebrate the season of sunshine and happiness, here are a few great child-friendly activities to check out with your family this week!

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Where/When: Upper Moreland Primary School, 3980 Orangemans Road, Upper Moreland; March 18, 6 p.m.

Why go: Come out and play bingo to support the school’s playground! Bingo cards are reusable all night. Bring your own bingo markers.

Pricing: Cards available at the door for $1 each


Where/When: , 1130 York Road, Willow Grove; March 19, 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Why go: Bowling for Bear, a bowl-a-thon sponsored by Upper Moreland High School Interact, Key Club and Student Council, will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, in memory of Steve “Bear” Schwartz.

Pricing: $25, includes bowling, shoe rental, food, drinks and T-shirt (or $20 without T-shirt)

 

Where/When: Trinity Episcopal Church, 708 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler; March 19, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why go: Kids Wee-Cycle has organized a consignment sale, with lots of baby, children’s and maternity items for sale. Cash only. For the last hour, selected items will be sold at half price.

Pricing: Free admission

 

Where/When: Willow Grove Park Mall, 2500 W. Moreland Road, Willow Grove; March 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why go: The Boy Scouts will sponsor the Pinewood Derby on the first floor in the Elevator Court.

Where/When: St. John Bosco, 215 E. County Line Road, Hatboro; March 20, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why go: Sponsored by St. John Bosco and Hatboro Lions Club, the Health and Safety Fair will kick off with a free pancake breakfast, and includes free children's vision testing, blood pressure screenings, stroke assessments and much more. There will be free giveaways and door prizes.
