Public Drunkenness

  • On March 1, at 9:51 p.m., police cited Eugene Mason, 62, of the 1500 Block of Fitwatertown Road in Abington, for Public Drunkenness after he was observed slumped over the sidewalk on Moreland and Barrett Roads. Mason's breath test revealed a .09 percent and was also under the influence of prescription medications. Mason was later released to his sister.
  • On March 2, at 2:13 a.m., police stopped Andrea Chany, 30, from the 200 Block of Davisville Road in Willow Grove, at the Willow Grove Train Station as he showed signed of obvious impairment.Chany was placed under arrest and transported to the police station. It was discovered Chany was on probation from Montgomery County and a detainer was lodged. A citation was issued to Chany for P.D. and he was released to the Sherriff's Department.

 

Assault

  • On March 1, at 1:39 a.m., police received a report of a domestic dispute at the Oak Terrace Apartments, 2621 Horsham Road. The victim reported her boyfriend, Laron Horne, 30, of Michigan, was intoxicated and had struck her. On arrival, police observed Horne, who was visibly intoxicated. Items were broken throughout the apartment and a hole was punched in the wall. Horne pulled victims hair and pushed her. Horne also threatened to choke victim to death. Horne was arraigned and bail was set at $2500.00 cash.

 

Drug Possession

  • On March 3, at 12:02 a.m., police were dispatched to the Regency Towers Apartments, 1003 Easton Road, for the smell of burning marijuana. An anonymous caller reported the correct apartment it was coming from. Police were met by the resident of the apartment in the hallway. The resident opened the door for the officers in plain view saw 15 to 20 alcoholic beverages on the living room table. A small Zip-Loc bag was on the table in front of Megan Cartwright, 19, from 4400 Block of Marple St. in Philadelphia. A silver grinder was also confiscated in the apartment. Cartwright was cited for Disorderly Conduct. Philippe Marie, 18, from the 1000, Block of Easton Road in Willow Grove; and Luke Harper, 20, also from the 1000 Block of Easton Road in Willow Grove, were both cited for Disorderly Conduct and Underage Possession.

 

Retail Theft

  • On March 3, at 6:40 p.m., loss prevention from Giant 315 York Road called police after they observed Catherine Besterman, 20, from the 1300 Block of Ashbourne Road in glenside, place $107.61 worth of items in her book bag. Besterman paid for some items that were in her shopping cart, but not for what was in the book bag. Besterman was placed under arrest and cited for retail theft.

 

DUI

  • On March 3, at 11:52 p.m., police observed Justin Wilson, 24, from the Unit Block of Church Street in Willow Grove, proceed through a red light at York and Church St. Wilson's breath test revealed a .09 percent. Wilson was charged with DUI and traffic violations.
