The Village Players of Hatboro have announced the final production of their 64th Season. It’s the comedy, “Plaza Suite” by Neil Simon. The show premieres on Friday, June 8th at 8:00 p.m. The theater is located at 401 Jefferson Avenue in Hatboro. For information, call the box office at 215-675-6774.

The play is composed of three separate acts that takes place in Suite 719 in New York City. Each act tells different stories with different characters. The first act features Philip Seder as “Sam Nash”, Linda Walsh as “Karen Nash”, Paul Gordon as the “Waiter”, Mick Huang as the “Bell Boy” and Jenny Sullens as “Jean McCormack”. “Sam” and “Karen” are in the Big Apple to revisit their honeymoon.

 

Act Two is the story of movie producer, “Jesse Kiplinger” (John Manning) and his old flame “Muriel Tate” (Michele Scutti) who is now a suburban housewife.

 

The final act is about a married couple, “Roy Hubley” (Ron Green) and “Norma Hubley” (Kim Breslin) on their daughter Mimsey’s (Angie Schlauch) wedding day. The role of “Borden” is shared by Zach Palmer and Tom Settefrati.

 

Directing the play is Jacki Green who also responsible for last season’s drama “Victoria’s House”. Catherine Tomasi is the assistant director. Coz Baldwin is producing the show.

 

The play was written by audience favorite Neil Simon, author of other classic comedies  as “The Odd Couple”, “Barefoot in The Park”, “Rumors”, “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” and many others.

 

“Plaza Suite” opens on Friday, June 8th, 2012 with an 8:00 p.m. curtain. Tickets are only $12. The show runs the next three weekends in June. There are two Sunday matinees on June 10th and June 17th at 2:00 p.m. Matinee tickets are only $10. The Village Players of Hatboro is a non-profit community theater located in residential Hatboro at 401 Jefferson Avenue near County Line Road between Jacksonville and Warminster Roads.
