Crazy Winter Garden!
Here are some of the wonderful colors of this past February's garden, my Daffodil painting, and some March gardening maintenance tips!
What a weird winter!
I don’t remember one like this ever, but I really enjoyed the mild temperatures. By mid-February, daffodils, crocus, and Hellebores were in full bloom, my camellia bud was about to open, and a beautifully glossy nandina greeted me daily!
A feast for the eyes so early in winter! I just couldn't resist painting the brilliant yellows of the daffodils against a vivid winter sky!

It's not too early to work in the garden. Here are some tips for March maintenance.
- Be sure that all dead foliage from last fall is cleared away.
- As young perennials continue their spring “rebirth,” take advantage of their wonderful ability to be divided. For added punch, masses of a single color can be created and/or brought to new areas of your garden. This way, too, bare spots can be filled, preventing weed growth.
