Giant to Offer Flu Shots

Staying flu-free is a priority this Fall and the best way to manage flu is to prevent it through vaccination.

Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets are now offering flu shots at all of their in-store pharmacies.

No appointment is needed, and convenient walk-in vaccinations are provided by trusted in-store pharmacists any time the pharmacy is open.

“Flu shots are reformulated every year so it’s important to receive your vaccination annually, even if you received one last year,” said Leigh Shirley, director of pharmacy. “In addition to offering flu shots, most of our pharmacies also offer a variety of additional immunizations, including those that protect against pneumonia and shingles.”

The cost for the flu shot, which provides immunity against the H1N1 virus as well as other seasonal flu strains, is $30.

Medicare along with several private insurance plans will be accepted. Giant and Martin's have also partnered with various health vendors to offer a free coupon book worth $20 in savings to customers who receive a flu shot.

Coupon books are available while supplies last.
