Snapshot: UMIS Students Celebrate Diversity Day

The Upper Moreland Intermediate School students celebrated 2012 Diversity Day by recognizing heritage and sharing ethnic food.

The l (UMIS) celebrated its annual Diversity Day on Jan. 13.

According to Nora Rosenbaum, the school district's Community Information Director, the event is designed to recognize what makes a student unique, as well as help students recognize that they all share unique qualities about them.

At this year’s Diversity Day, UMIS students volunteered to research and present the customs and heritage from other countries. The students’ presentations were made for the entire school community.
