Wesley Enhanced Living Couples Share Secret of Long and Loving Relationships

Wesley Enhanced Living Retirement Community Celebrates Valentine's Day with Wedding Vow Renewal Service.

The Wesley Enhanced Living Retirement Community, located in Hatboro, recognized five couples, who have found the secret to a long-lasting and loving relationship.

The couples, with fresh flowers courtesy of , shared their secrets at a wedding renewal ceremony, held at Wesley Enhanced Living, Feb. 9.

  • Gordon and Trudy Eaton - Marriage ambassadors with an astounding 64 years of marriage.

"Respect your differences – don’t criticize one another – and always be happy for what you have"

  • Richard and Janet Palmerchuck - The Palmerchucks celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

"Talk, compromise, perseverance."

  • Jerry and Paulina Moore - This couple met and married in eight days, and commemorated 57 years of marriage.

"Separate bedrooms [meant as a joke, sort of], don’t have children too soon after getting married so you get to know one another."

  • Ornay and Jeannette Placek - The Placeks celebrated 52 years of Marital bliss.

"Kindness and consideration."

  • Bernard and Alice Black - They met online in their 70s and have been married for 12 years.  

"Communication, humor, love, listening, don’t take partner for granted, comprise and don’t go to bed angry."
