What Should Replace Brave New World's Comic and Games?

This lot is one of many vacancies along Easton Road. What would you like to see here?

If you travel down Easton Road it could seem like every other store has a "For Rent" sign in its window.

In some locations, it seems like whatever business decides to occupy the space, it's only a matter of time before it packs up and leaves for a different location.

Recently, Brave New World's Comic and Games, has its new location at 433 W Moreland Rd. Now the former location at 212 Easton Road is empty standing next to Sandy's Second Act consignment shop.

What business would like to see here?

Not too much in going to stay there to long. Lack of parking, no foot traffic, and getting in and out is a hasle too. Yes you can park in the shopping center, but then you have to walk and get thru the traffic to get there. I have no idea what should go there that does not have a lot of customers looking for parking. When the drug store was there it was a problem with parking, even the bridal shop was a problem with parking.

It's not only Buisenes that are putting up for rent signs, go down any street in the area and count how many for sale signs you see in Front of peoples homes .

I think it should be some kind of auxiliary community center (i.e. for seniors or for the recently displaced from their homes). I don't think there is enough of these kind of places for people. If there is a parking issue there should be an agreement with neighboring businesses that would allow people to park.

I made an offer to rent the place. I wanted to put a bead and jewelry shop in there but I needed to run my other business out of there as well which is an office for Title Insurance. I would have the Bead Store in the front and my Title Company in the back but the Township wouldn't allow a business office in the retail district even though the retail business would be up front and the face of the building. Sad for me, sad for the landlord, sad for all the beaders and ultimately sad for the township that lost a new business' revenue. part of the problem is the guy who owns the building: the building needs some serious repair (I know the rook leaks, but I don't know what else) and he won't do it. The bridal shop moved because they couldn't take the risk of damage to what is millions of dollars in dresses. When you enter the stores, the smell of mold is overpowering. If he can't maintain it and keep renters happy, he should sell it. this is the "gateway" to "willow grove", and should "sparkle"; but I never go there. It scares me. oh, and it should be a news stand or coffee house. some reason for all of us to want to go there.

I see that the Commissioners Of Upper Moreland strike again by denying the above mentioned Title Company opening there! Get these guys out ! Please also note the actions that they are taking against The Catholic Shop over their sign. Give the Commissioners an award for most unfriendly business policies in County. Remember, every business that the Commissioners chase out of town, raises the residents tax burdens!
