What Should Replace Kirby in Willow Grove?

There is a vacancy on the 200 block of Davisville Road.

Tucked away between a Foot Care Specialist and a Chiropractor's office, a vacancy for a business on the 200 block of Davisville Road is just waiting to be claimed.

What used to be the Kirby Vacuum Sales Shop - and before that A-Sharp Recording Studio - is now empty. There are a handful of doctor's offices and different kinds of medical practices along this block, so is it only a matter of time before another one pops up?

What do you think should fill this spot? Should another office be put in? Or maybe some kind of specialty shop? Upper Moreland/Willow Grove residents, please let us know your thoughts and what you'd like to see in your community.

How about an abortion clinic ? We could buy a franchise from congresswoman ( and lying pig ) Allyson Schwartz. She's been in the abortion buisness for 25+ years.

Actually, as crazy as Roman is, I would support a Planned Parenthood there. Great idea, thanks!

Abortion clinics Willow Grove would welcome in their downtown. Just not Wawa....

I have an idea. Lets put a 2 million dollar fountain and a road to a graffitti and drug park there. Of course well need a 175 thousand dollar study first.

Saddened to read vitriolic commentary here...I would support any small business or practice. Dean...have you been to Memorial Park? Where is this graffiti/drug park...why perpetuate past, negative perceptions? I see people walking, a Scout who is working on identifying the actual Mineral Springs, and work done by various community-conscious residents. Check it out!

Wow...what a bunch of crabby, negative people. You know you could move somewhere else if Willow Grove isn't Utopian enough for you.
Frank Greene February 21, 2013 at 01:33 PM
Just apply more lipstick on the pig! I bet you wouldn't walk in Memorial Park at night during the summer.

Frank...I do walk, but not beyond the lights, and since we are dog walkers, not in the parks. I would like to ask Chief Levy to give us his opinion on safety in the Park and will report on his comments.

How about a Chinese restaurant?
dean jensen February 21, 2013 at 09:29 PM
I have so many memories of that strip before the township decided they needed the property more than the business owners. I could shoot some pool, buy jewlery, get a slice of pizza and a massage all in one stop.
