Man Charged with Prostitution at Walmart

A 38-year-old Willow Grove man is facing prostitution charges after he "solicited and assaulted" a Philadelphia man at Walmart, according to Upper Moreland Police.

Mark Dillard Curry of Willow Grove was charged with prostitution on May 31 after an alleged incident that, according to the police report, occurred "at or between" 4:52 p.m. on May 30 and 3:53 a.m. on May 31.

The location for the crime is the Walmart on Blair Mill Road in Willow Grove, but the police report states that a 2014 Kia Sorento was "used during incident."

According to court documents, Curry, who has arrests dating back to 1993, was convicted of harassment, making terroristic threats and stalking with the "intent to cause emotional distress" in 1998.

Later that year, he was convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to three to 10 years in prison; and making terroristic threats and ordered to serve a minimum of five years for that offense.

In 2011 he entered a guilty plea for theft by unlawful taking and was ordered to serve a 12-month minimum sentence.
