Thousands Still Without Power in Upper Moreland; Schools Closed

PECO is working to fix any remaining outages throughout the week.

According to PECO, thousands of residents are still without power in Upper Moreland Township. So far crews have worked to restore power in the homes of 10,400 customers over the last two days in the township.

Upper Moreland Schools remain without power as well, and have closed for a third straight day.

In Montgomery County alone, PECO has restored service to just under 300,000 of its customers.

Upper Moreland has done a terrible job of communicating the conditions of the town and the impact of this storm. An update to know what is happening in town would have been appreciated. A listing of street closures, power outages, and overall town conditions would good to communicate Why is Nixle not being activated more often?

Upper Moreland and PECO have both done a poor job informing residents of issues. Nixle has barely been used and I don't know how they think those of us without power are able to check a website. Alerts should be texted that is the only communication most of us have at this point. Peco is completely in the dark with our situation and cannot tell us the problem or give any information, they may be working hard but they have done a very poor job commanding and communicating. Our Power isn't even expected back until late Saturday night, if that is even accurate.
