As part of Aqua Pa.’s continuing infrastructure improvement program, they will replace the water main on:
Patterson Ave. between Beechwood Rd. & Sampson;
Sampson Ave. between Patterson Ave. and the cul-de-sac;
and Beechwood Road between Fitzwatertown Road and the sul-de-sac,
in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
The new main will increase service reliability and improve firefighting capabilities in the area. Aqua will have an inspector on the job each day to answer any questions you might have. The $365,000 project is scheduled to begin on October 8, 2012 and will involve the installation of 2,043 feet of 8-inch ductile iron main. The new main will replace the existing 6-inch cast iron main. We expect the main installation, service transfers, street tie-ins, and final paving restoration to be completed in December 2012.
The work hours will be 7am until 3:30pm daily and some Saturdays may be necessary to keep the project on schedule. Access will be provided for emergency, mail and trash service. Residents will have access to their properties. We ask that you avoid traveling through the construction zone whenever possible.
Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted in the area of construction.
We will notify 24-hours in advance of a scheduled shutdown. If an emergency shutdown should occur, we will restore service as soon as possible.
