What's Open, Closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in Willow Grove
Most places of business will be closed for the MLK Holiday, however, some stores will remain open for normal business hours.
The second of the official holidays of 2013 is coming up next week as the nation pauses to observe the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr., a clergyman and activist best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience.
King’s actual birthday is Tuesday, Jan. 15 – he would have been 84 this year – but the official holiday is always celebrated on the third Monday of January. This year, that falls on Jan. 21.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday. That means all federal offices will be closed, banks will be closed and the stock market will be closed.

Citizens Bank will be closed.
Fox Chase Bank will be closed.

TD Bank will be OPEN (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Drivethrough until 8 p.m.)
Woodforest Bank will be OPEN (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
Upper Moreland Schools and Offices will be closed.
Willow Grove Mall will be OPEN for normal business hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
PennDOT Driver License & Photo Centers will be closed.
U.S. Post Offices will be closed and there will not be mail delivery.
Montgomery County Government Offices & Courts will be closed.
