Meteor Shower Viewing Party and Astronomy Night

Join Cub Scout Pack 554 as we gather to watch the Perseids Meteor Shower.

Open to everyone, not just Scouts!  This is a free event with NO trick sales pitch!
Parents required! This is not a drop-off event!

Who: Kids + Parents (no Scouting experience necessary: all are welcome)
Where: Boileau Park, intersection of Byberry and Orangemans Roads
When: Tuesday, July 29th
What: Weather permitting, we will meet up around 7pm for some fun, and we will wait for it to get dark enough for meteor spotting and telescopic views of the night sky.
Why: This is an opportunity to get out and have fun in nature with other kids and adults, and to experience what Cub Scouting is like.
Bonus: There will be a brief educational presentation that will cover the Scout requirements for the Astronomy belt loop. All current and potential Scouts from ANY pack will receive a confirmation certificate for their den leaders, confirming their participation and fulfillment of these requirements.
Bring: Think of it as family-friendly tailgating, and bring whatever you think you may need, including, but not limited to: flashlights, drinks, snacks, dinner, toys, games, telescopes, friends, blankets, and bug spray.
For safety reasons, any kids attending are required to have an adult present for the duration of the activities. We are a Cub Scout Pack, and Cub Scouting is a family activity. Parents are encouraged to participate actively in all of our activities.
This event is weather-dependent.  Please check our facebook page for last-minute updates and confirmation: facebook.com/cub pack 554
