School of Rock Bands to Perform Benefit Concert

Fort Washington School of Rock House Band and Junior House Band will perform a benefit concert at The Limit in Blue Bell, for Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard.

The School of Rock Fort Washington’s House Band and Junior House Band will be performing a benefit concert at The Limit Bar and Restaurant on April 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The cover charge for the night is one non-perishable food item. All food collected during the evening will be donated to the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard in Ambler.

The Community Cupboard has been helping the less fortunate in our community for over 30 years, providing food, clothing, household items, and more, to those whose incomes fall below the poverty line.

School of Rock founded a school in Philadelphia in 1998 and has grown to 69 schools.

According to the School of Rock website,

“School of Rock Fort Washington teaches guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums and combines weekly private music lessons and group band rehearsals to prepare students to take the stage in front of live audiences in an authentic concert setting.”

The Limit Bar and Restaurant, formerly Reed’s of Blue Bell, has been completely redone and has a new, full menu.

The School of Rock House Band and Junior House Band are made up of kids from all round the area, from ages 9 to 17 and play a variety of rock music, sure to please all ages.
