The Upper Moreland Historical Association () will hold a public presentation, discussing the life of Molly Brown, on March 27, at 7 p.m. in the .
Presenting the evening discussion as Molly Brown is Melissa Rabinsky, a historic re-enactor. As a historic re-enactor, Rabinsky has portrayed historical figures for over eight years; appearing before historical societies, schools, retirement communities and for PBS.
Her March 27 discussion as Molly Brown will be her third appearance for the UMHA, speaking as Mary Todd Lincoln and in a presentation, titled “Letters From the Heart.”
This year marks the 100th year of the anniversary of the Titanic sinking, from which she survived, and was nicknamed, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.”
“Not just the Titanic! – Her rags to riches story and more,” Melissa Yiaski Rabinsky said in a UMHA release. “She worked for women’s rights, the Red Cross; never forgetting where she began.”
