GIFT OF READING READ-A-THON

The Gift of Reading Read-a-Thon comes to the Upper Moreland Free Public Library again this year! 6th and 7th grade Upper Moreland students can enter the Read-a-Thon for every book they read this fall, October 1 through December 31, and be entered for a chance to win prizes. Every month, a winner from each grade will be chosen by raffle for a $15 gift card to a Willow Grove business. On December 31, the student from each grade who has read the most books will win one of the grand prizes, a $50 gift card to Barnes and Noble. Students can pick up a reading log or turn in their entries at the Upper Moreland Free Public Library or at our website, www.uppermorelandlibrary.org.

The Upper Moreland Free Public Library is located at 109 Park Avenue, Willow Grove, across from the Willow Grove Shopping Center.  For more information about this and other Library programs and services, call 215-659-0741 or visit the Library’s web site, www.uppermorelandlibrary.org.

APPRISE MEDICARE INFORMATION SESSION

Are you a Pennsylvanian on Medicare, or someone who will be eligible during this year’s enrollment period? Have questions? Come to an information session on Saturday November 17, at 1:00 PM at the Upper Moreland Free Public Library. This session is hosted by a trained volunteer from Pennsylvania’s APPRISE program, a free health insurance counseling program designed to help older Pennsylvanians with Medicare navigate their options. The APPRISE volunteer will present information regarding Medicare choices to help you make informed decisions about coverage.
