Water Main Replacement on York Road Starting May 24

The Aqua Pennsylvania construction will take place from May 24 until sometime in August.

Aqua Pennsylvania announced its water main replacement along York Road will start May 24, and is expected to last throughout the summer.

The water main replacement will take place between Easton and Moreland roads along York road in Upper Moreland.

The water main replacement is part of Aqua Pennsylvania's continuing infrastructure improvement program, and is intended to increase service reliability and improve firefighting capabilities in the area.

Aqua will have an inspector on the job each day to answer any questions resudents may have.

The $470,500 project is will involve the installation of 2,500 feet of 12-inch ductile iron main. The new main will replace the existing 8-inch cast iron main. Aqua expects the main installation, service transfers, street tie-ins, and final paving restoration to be completed in August 2012.
