The UM BOC so quickly forgets the contributions of its Historical Commission

Are the contributions of the late Dick Sayer being forgotten by the UM Twp. Board of Commissioners?

Sent March 23, 2012 to President Sam Valenza, Twp Mgr and all Board Members:

Sam,

I imagine you saw that my , along with some photos, was published in our Township Spring-Summer Newsletter.

Sue Sayer was very touched by the tribute when it was shortly after Dick died.  She called me yesterday, thanking me for this again and letting me know how many phone calls she has received.  It truly moves her and she has been busy making copies to share with friends, family and Huntingdon Valley C.C.  I am happy that the community is able to have the opportunity to also read this.

Sue and I speak often and are both terribly disappointed with what is going on with the UMHC. Especially troubling is the most recent change that you are planning for the Ordinance that Dick and the Township, just 1 year ago, took the time and money to change. We really have a hard time comprehending how you can so quickly turn something like this around and spend taxpayer money for the single word "SHALL"!  I would think that the Township has more important things to be concerned with.

I was somewhat embarrassed even telling Sue about this latest debacle when she called me yesterday. I find what you are all doing as extremely disloyal to Dick.

This is the person who spent over a year, his last year on this earth, dedicated to this community. The Tricentennial celebration happened solely because of Dick. A man loyal to this community and who has been dead just 4 months yesterday.  I feel that your recent spiteful and ridiculous actions have truly shamed him and discredited all he and the Historical Commission have done for Upper Moreland.

Sincerely, Mariann
