Raymond Louis Jacquelin, Former Upper Moreland Police Officer, Dies

Funeral arrangements are set for Thursday for the long-time Warminster resident.

Raymond Louis Jacquelin, 69, died on Sunday.

Born on Nov. 29, 1943 Jacquelin was the son of the late Henry and Marie Louise Jacquelin who first resided in France and later in Abington.

Jacquelin proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a paratrooper and Green Beret. As a decorated veteran, he quietly and consistently honored country and family.

He was a distinguished member of both the Upper Moreland and Buckingham Police departments from 1967 to 1973 and 1973 to 2001 respectively.

As a long-time resident of Warminster, he was a professional fixture in Buckingham, and seasonal resident at Pine Haven Campground in Ocean View, N.J.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret (Peggy) Mary,(nee Amato); his daughter Jeanne and her husband Frank Serban; his daughter Maggie and her husband David Buckwalter; his daughter Noelle Jacquelin; and his daughter Charmaine Jacquelin and her loving partner, James Huber.

He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro and are invited to attend his memorial service at 11:30 a.m.

His internment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County. In lieu of flowers, he requested that caring individuals take some time out of their busy lives to take a young child fishing.
