Car Overturns in Davisvile Road Accident; Slows Traffic

A 22-year-old Warminster woman suffered minor injuries after her car was involved in a crash that left it overturned and on fire.

Police say they still don't know what caused a young woman to lose control of her Jeep on Davisville Road early this afternoon.

The 22-year-old Warminster woman was driving north on Davisville Road, toward County Line Road, between Karen Lane and Exton Road, when she lost control of her vehicle and went up an embankment striking a tree. The SUV then went into the opposing lane of traffic, struck a utility pole near Exton Lane and flipped over, police said.

Upper Moreland Police Officer Kenneth Johnson said when he arrived shortly after 1:30 p.m. there was a small fire coming from the engine compartment of the car, which was put out with a fire extinguisher.
