TD Bank Armed Robbery Video Released

A man with a gun grabbed an employee and forced his way into the TD Bank on the 2900 block of West Moreland Road on Saturday, March 23, according to police.

The FBI has released the surveillance tape of the TD Bank robbery that took place last Saturday on the 2900 block of West Moreland Road in Abington. The video shows a man shattering the glass of the front door as employees opened the bank early in the morning.

The robber shot at the front door and shattered the glass to gain entry into the bank. He dragged an employee by the neck, and pointed his gun at another employee before making his way toward the back of the bank, according to the press release issued by Abington Township Police Department.

Investigators described the man as dressed in all black, he wore a ski mask that covered most of his face and was armed with a black handgun.

The man did not take any money and fled in a black mid-sized SUV with chrome wheels, police said.

Employees were treated for minor injuries, according to the report.
