News Next Door: Suspected 19-Year-Old Drug Dealer Arrested

The Willow Grove woman has a history of drug related arrests.

Abington Police arrested a 19-year-old Willow Grove woman who they believe was selling marijuana.

Angelina Marcucci, 19, of Fairview Avenue, was arrested June 6 at 12:52 a.m. following a traffic stop in which she was a passenger near the corner of Moreland and Easton roads, police said. The vehicle, which was traveling westbound on Moreland Road, was driving without its tail lights activated.

Marcucci was one of three occupants in the vehicle — all were visibly nervous and shaking, according to police.

There was an odor of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle, and Marcucci said, “I have some baggies of marijuana in my purse.”

Following a search of the vehicle, police found a green pill bottle located in the rear seat pouch next to where Marcucci was sitting. The bottle contained a $10 bill and 16 clear plastic baggies containing suspected marijuana.

Police also searched Marcucci’s purse.

In it, they found several new and unused purple plastic baggies commonly used to package drugs and $414.

According to affidavit, “… the presence of new and unused plastic baggies is another sign that Marcucci is selling marijuana.”

Including the June 6 incident, Marcucci has five pending cases involving drug charges.

According to court documents, one of those cases is scheduled for a pre-trial conference later this week.

She also has a November 2011 conviction for disorderly conduct.
