DUI

  • On Feb. 4, at 1:15 a.m., an officer observed a gold Toyota Camry that was being operated by Ronee Guzman, 24, of Willow Grove, traveling on Easton Road at a high, unsafe rate of speed. The officer also observed this vehicle had drifted into both southbound lanes of travel.Guzman was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and submitted to a chemical breath test which yielded a result of 0.146 percent Blood-Alcohol-Content. Guzman is charged with DUI.

Public Drunkenness

  • On Feb. 10 at 9 p.m., police were called to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the area of Easton Road and Blair Mill Road. Officers found Carl Davis, 48, of the 6100 Block of North 20 St. in Philadelphia, walking in the roadway causing traffic to have to stop for him. Davis was found to be intoxicated. He admitted to drinking alcohol, and using various different types of controlled substances. He was placed under arrest and then transported to Abington Hospital for treatment of a medical condition.He was charged with Public Drunkenness.

Burglary

  • On Jan. 28 and Jan. 31, the Upper Moreland Police Department is investigating the report of a burglary in the 1000 block of York Road. The resident returned home from a trip and found that an unknown person(s) entered his home and stole $200, as well as prescription medication. The investigation into this burglary is on going.

Thefts

  • On Feb. 4 and 9, a business in the 2300 block of Maryland Road in the Township's Willow Grove section reported that the catalytic converters were cut off of two new 2011 Ford work vans.
  • On Feb. 5, an employee of a local medical transportation company discovered the rear window of an ambulance had been broken out. This ambulance was parked at the 1900 Block of Byberry Road overnight. The owner believes that the actors were attempting to steal medical equipment off the ambulance. Police are in the process of reviewing security videos from this location to assist with the on going investigation.
