Armed Robbery

  • On April 16, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Upper Moreland Police received a report of an armed robbery at the Lukoil gas station which is located at 2600 Easton Road. A white male suspect brandished a firearm and threatened to shoot the store clerk if he failed to cooperate. Several Upper Moreland police officers arrived within one minute and began surveying the area for a suspect. While officers searched for a suspect, another officer began searching the path of the suspect’s escape looking for evidence. A loaded .357 revolver and money were found a short distance from the Lukoil. As a result of a stop conducted by an officer, a suspect was identified and subsequently charged with armed robbery. The suspect, a 15-year-old Hatboro resident, will be prosecuted as an adult. He was arraigned by District Justice Paul Leo and held on $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 26 at 10:15 a.m. in Judge Leo’s court.

Assaults

  • On April 12 at 10 a.m., a victim reported that Ronald Chapelle, 39, from the 100 Block of Horseshoe Lane in Horsham, pointed a hand gun at him after Chappelle passed him at a high rate of speed on Maryland Rd and Commerce Dr. Chappelle was located at his residence. Chappelle had a hand gun in his possession. Chappelle was taken into custody and transported back to UMPD. Chappelle was charged with Simple Assault, Terroristic Thefts, Harassment, Possession Instrument of Crime, Disorderly Conduct and Recklessly Endangering another Person. Chappelle was arraigned in front of Judge Leo.His preliminary hearing was set for April 22.His bail was set at $5,000.00 cash.
  • On April 14 at 1:38 a.m., officers responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance in progress at the Willow Hill Apartments, 400 block of Easton Road. Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim and witnesses. Officers determined an assault had occurred and arrested Ramson St-Fleur, 22, from the 400 Block of Easton Road in Willow Grove. St-Fleur was charged with Simple Assault and Harassment. St- Fleur was arraigned with bail set at $10,000. He was later transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

  • Between April 12 and April 14, someone stole over $2000 worth of equipment from a truck located at Advanced Communications, 3225 Sunset Drive.
  • On April 13, at sometime overnight actor(s) cut the catalytic converters off of two trucks located at Wayne's Auto repair, 2460 Wyandotte Road. The converters are valued at $700 a piece.
  • On April 13, sometime overnight actor(s) cut the catalytic converter off of a truck located at Williamson's Caterers, 2524 Wyandotte Road. The value of the converter is $700.
