DUI

  • On March 31 at 7:31 p.m., the Upper Moreland Police Department received a report of a reckless driver in the area of Terwood Road and Davisville Road. An officer in the area observed this vehicle commit a motor vehicle violation. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Hillel Mowery, 29, of the 1900 Block of Borbeck Ave. in Philadelphia. He was found to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested for DUI. Mowery's blood alcohol concentration was found to be 0.127 percent. Charges have been filed in District Court.

  • On April 2, at 8:15 p.m., officers responded to the Willow Inn concerning an Unwanted Person. Alejandro Rodriguez, 37, of the 200 Block of Easton Road in Willow Grove, was found outside arguing with customers and he refused to leave the property. Rodriguez was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and cited for Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct.
  • On April 8, at 3:18 p.m., an officer on patrol found Robert Hart, 52, of the unit Block of York Road in Willow Grove, laying in the dirt on Park Avenue in the area of the Police Station. When the officer investigated, Hart was found to be extremely intoxicated. His blood alcohol concentration was found to be 0.24 percent. Hart was cited for Public Drunkenness.
  • On April 9, at 1:15 a.m., an officer on patrol observed John Pinkerton Jr., 41, of the 3600 Block of Sussex Lane in Philadelphia walking on County Line Road in the Hatboro section of the Township. The officer observed Pinkerton was having a difficult time walking. The officer stopped to investigate and for Pinkerton to be intoxicated. He was cited for Public Drunkenness.

  • On April 2, at 9:36 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Castello Avenue in the Hatboro section of the township for a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found that Dawn Sites, 30, of the 400 Block of Castello Ave. in Hatboro and Angela Ranalli, 37, of the 1200 Block of Oriole Drive in Bensalem, were involved in a physical altercation. Citations were issued for Harassment and Disorderly Conduct.

 

Assault

  • On April 4, at 2:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 300 Blk of Winner Road. Upon arrival, officers learned that Shawn McCarthy, 45, of the 300 Block of Winner Road in Hatboro, had assaulted his step-son. McCarthy was arrested and charges of Simple Assault and Harassment have been filed with the court.

 

Theft of Auto Parts

  • The Upper Moreland Police Department is investigating the theft of Auto Parts from vehicles parked at the Willow Grove Train Station, 200 Davisville Road in Willow Grove. Two separate reports have been filed that the catalytic converters have been stolen from vehicles parked in the parking lot. The vehicles involved were a 2011 Honda CRV and a 2010 Honda Pilot. The value of the catalytic converters is over $200.00 each.

 

Theft

On April 4, between 6:30 and 7:20 p.m., the Upper Moreland Police Department is investigating the theft of an IPhone from a locker at the LA Fitness Sports Club, 2020 County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley. The value of this phone is $299.00

 

Fugitive Warrant

  • On April 9, at 1:50 a.m., the Upper Moreland Police Department conducted an investigation into an occupied suspicious which was found in the rear parking lot of Office Max located at 300 N. York Road in Willow Grove. The occupant of this vehicle was identified as Thomas Bodziak, 36, of the 200 Block of S. Warminster Road in Hatboro. When the officer entered Bodziak's information into a national database, arrest warrants were located out of Georgia, Kansas, and Tennessee. The warrant from Tennessee was confirmed and Bodziak was taken into custody.
