Thefts

  • On May 18, between 8 and 10 p.m., a store manager from Monroe Muffler and Brakes, 1 York Road, discovered that someone stole approximately $200 too $300 worth of scrap metal in the rear of the business.
  • On May 19, between 2 and 3:38 a.m., a resident from the 2800 block of Lundy Lane had two unlocked vehicles entered. Items stolen included a GPS, a sapphire ring, $150 in cash and a purse.
  • On May 25, between 5:45 and 7:43 p.m., police responded to Bally's Total Fitness, 151 York Road, for a theft from a locker. The victim discovered that someone broke the lock of his locker while he was working out. A gym bag, cell phone and $1,200 in U.S. currency were stolen.

Criminal mischief

  • On May 18, between noon and 9 p.m., police responded to 2200 Byberry Road for a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The victim stated that when she was done work, she noticed someone had keyed the paint on her front passenger's side door. The victim also reported to police that this is the fourth time someone has keyed her car since December 2010.
