Reported Brush Fire Behind Pep Boys

A reported brush fire behind Pep Boys on Easton Road had three fire companies on scene today, March 11.

At around 2 p.m. today, a reported brush fire took place behind the on Easton Road in Willow Grove.

Responding to the scene was assisted by Roslyn Fire Company and Horsham Fire Company.

According to fire crew officials on scene, the brush fire was extinguished soon after the extra fire engine calls were made, and the extra fire engine crews left the scene at around 3 p.m.

[Updated 6:12 p.m.] According to Fire Marshal , initial reviews of the brush fire were minor in nature. Drennen said that work from the nearby freight train line by a train company's construction crew, may have caused sparks to ignite the brush.

[Upadated March 12, 11 a.m.] The train track maintenance company also had train cars equipped with fire-fighting capabilities, and assisted in putting out the blaze.

Pending further investigantion, the brief fire is being considered an accident.
