Suspicious Person Sought by UMPD

A report of a suspicious person has prompted the Upper Moreland Police Department to ask residents to be vigilant.

Two days ago, an alert resident on County Line Road observed an unknown male on her neighbor's property. The male was described as being white and in his 40s. The male was thin and disheveled. His hair was in a mullet style, and he was wearing a blue and yellow baseball cap. The male was riding a 10 speed bike.

Although no crime was committed at the neighbor's home, the police department is interested in talking to this suspicious individual.

If you see someone on your neighbor's property, call 911 immediately.

Upper Moreland Police Department (UMPD) wants and needs your help in identifying suspicious people. If you catch yourself looking at someone and wondering if you should "bother" the police, UMPD asks that you do not hesitate to dial 911.

The police department values your instincts and would much rather have an investigative contact with a potential burglar than investigate a completed burglary.
