Update: UMPD Needs Help Getting Lost Shih Tzu Home

Upper Moreland Police found the lost dog walking down Allison Road today.

Upper Moreland police were successful in reuniting 'Dulce', the wandering dog, with her caregiver at around 2:30 p.m. today.

According to Upper Moreland Police, Dulce managed to escape his caregivers' control earlier this morning. And, due to an injured hip, the dog's caregiver could not successfully pursue Dulce.

Thanks to a concerned citizen, Dulce was found and brought to the . A few hours after Dulce's arrival, his caretaker came to the police station, seeking help, and was happy to discover that the dog was already in the safekeeping of the UMPD.

UMPD thanks the public for their help.

"Thank you to all of you who called with potential names and addresses of Dulce's owners," UMPD chief said in the Nixle report.

According to , a little lost dog, who may be a Shih Tzu, was found walking down Allison Road earlier this morning.

The police report also said the lost dog was found wearing a pink collar and leash.

"At this point, she is not providing police with her name or address," the UMPD Nixle police report stated. "If you know this little escape artist, please call 215-657-4700."
