[Entire article Updated 5:30 p.m.] According to the Upper Moreland Free Public Library's Facebook page, the library will resume regular hours tomorrow, Feb. 23.

"We can't wait to see you tomorrow!!!!" was written in the library's facebook post, which was posted approximately 4:30 p.m., today.

According to the library's website, the building closed to the public in what was previously an indefinite period of time - the site does say that there will be no penalties for late returns during this period.

Speaking with Upper Moreland Township's Fire Marshal, Robert Drennen, earlier this morning, the repairs to the building's heating unit are near completion.

According to Drennen, aside from the repairs, the delay in reopening is largely due to the lingering toxic environment, caused by heavy smoke that poured from the malfunctioning heating unit.

Drennen said that the library's carpets, furniture and other fabric furnishings were heavily saturated during the malfunction. He said that he and a cleanup remediation team is double-checking their work to ensure the safety of the residents and staff of the library.

The library suggests to check its website daily for further information.
