A rental truck crashed into a PECO power utility pole yesterday in front of the Wawa on Moreland Road.

At 2:02 p.m., yesterday, July 20, a rental truck crashed into the base of a PECO power utility pole in front of the Wawa on Moreland Road, according to Robert Drennen, Upper Moreland Township director of emergency services.

Drennen said that the crash caused the pole to snap and hang precariously one foot off the ground, suspended by electrical wires.
