Snapshot: Don Warner Takes Ward 7 Commissioner Oath of Office

Ward 7 appointed commissioner Donald Warner took the oath of office at the July 2 Regular Upper Moreland BOC meeting.

Donald Warner officially took the oath of office as at the July 2 Regular Meeting of the Upper Moreland Board of Commissioners.

Placing his hand on the Bible, Warner said the oath as administered by Judge John Kessler, Magisterial District Court 38-1-04:

I, Donald G. Warner, do solemnly swear that I will support, obey and defend, the Constitution of the United States of America, and the Constitution of this Commonwealth that I will uphold and obey the laws of this Commonwealth, and I will discharge the duties of the office of township commissioner of Ward 7 of the Township of Upper Moreland with fidelity and without consideration of a person's race, color, sex, religious creed, sexual orientation, age, national origin, handicap, or disability.

As Warner was a recent Upper Moreland School Board member, sitting school board members attended the ceremony, including Lisa Berlin and April Stainback. Other supporters, likely members of Warner's family, were also in attendance.

According to board president, Ward 6 commissioner Sam Valenza, Warner will assume the duties of previous Ward 7 commissioner, , namely sit on the Finance and Administration Committee and the Police Pension Fund.
